Museum Top public officials of Tatarstan

The “Top public officials of Tatarstan” exhibition is commemorating the centenary of formation of the TASSR.

The heroes of the exhibition are the leaders of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic: Sakhibgarey Said-Galiyev, Burkhan Mansurov, Rauf Sabirov, Fikryat Tabeyev, Mintimer Shaimiyev, Farit Mukhametshin, Rustam Minnikhanov and many others, the people whose names are inscribed in golden letters in the century-old history of formation of the modern Tatarstan. The life of each of them is closely intertwined with the history of the country and the region. Together with them, our region overcame the hunger and the post-war devastation. They led growth of new cities and development of oil fields. Thanks to their activities, since the 1970s, continuous economic growth of the region was ensured.

The exhibition reveals not only the socio-political side of the life of Tatarstan politicians. It represents a collection of inspiring success stories.

How did 26-year-old Sakhibgarey Said-Galiyev manage to become the youngest Head of Tatarstan? How did Gumer Usmanov make a tremendous career from an ordinary combine driver to a political figure of a national scale? The “Top public officials of Tatarstan” exhibition is organized with the assistance of the following institutions and state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan: the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Council, the Ministry of Culture, the State Committee for Archival Affairs, Shigabutdin Mardzhani Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences and the State Archives.
