A Navy Officer and Pilot-Aviator, he stood out in the organization of Naval Aviation in Portugal and in the historic First South Atlantic Aerial Crossing in 1922, alongside Gago Coutinho. Using innovative navigation techniques, this journey connected Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro, marking a world achievement.
