The Runnymede Room gives a brief look back in time to the events and people who have made the Borough what it is today. There are over 100 objects on display including the Museum’s fine collection of Bronze Age and Iron Age items and old favourites such as the Chertsey Abbey tiles. The 10th century Viking sword, which was found during gravel extracting in the 1980s near Thorpe Park, takes pride of place in the award-winning gallery.
