    Following the footsteps of a glass blower.

    DAY 1

    Helsinki – Riihimäki

    Arrival with train to Riihimäki from
    Helsinki. Bicycle rent from the railway
    station or alternatively a taxi. Guided
    trail to the heaven of glass culture starts
    at the Finnish Glass Museum. Later in
    the same area Riihimäki Old Glass
    Factory. Lunch at restaurant Klaas.
    Before returning back to the railway
    station is recommended to visit the
    Mafka & Alakoski and Lasismi. Train to
    Hämeenlinna. In Hämeenlinna
    accommodation recommendations are
    B&B Matin ja Maijan Majatalo or
    Scandic Aulanko. Later in the evening
    cycling in the city and visit in Häme
    Castle or Aulanko nature reserve.
    Dinner at the local restaurant Uoma or Verka or Piparkakkutalo.

    DAY 2

    Hämeenlinna – Iittala – Helsinki/Tampere

    Arrival to the Hämeenlinna railway station and train to Iittala. In Iittala Village are many
    things to see and do. Blow your own piece of glass art at the Iittala Glass Factory. Visit the
    Iittala Outlet Store and the Design Museum Iittala. Lunch at the restaurant Taika. Later
    some dessert from the chocolate factory Kultasuklaa and later Naivistic Art Lobby Shop.
    Return to the Iittala railway station and take a train back to Helsinki or alternatively to
    Tampere.

    Good to know: Train schedules are available from www.vr.fi/en. Rentable bikes can be
    found from the railway station Riihimäki and Hämeenlinna.

    Availability: May – September is the best bicycle season in Häme region.
