Tur audio Bottom in Motion with Arjan Postma

Arjan Postma takes you on a 48 KM cycling route round trip from Appelscha to Veenhuizen and back. We visit the Fochteloërveen and the Drents Friese Wold, and visit a small part of Drenthe in addition to Friesland.

On the way we will stop at a number of remarkable places where we zoom in on the peat landscape, what people did and do with it, and which animals and insects now live there.

We pass several villages with catering options, but we also recommend bringing some snacks for on the go. 

* Download the route and app in advance so no working internet connection is required.

* Make sure the phone is properly charged and bring a power bank if possible

* Get tickets for the Bosberg Tower (2 euros) at the Tourist Info Point (extra part of the route)

* Bring a bathing outfit for a visit to Lake Canada

* Use mosquito repellent against insects in the summer
