You may wonder what criteria inspired the exhibition layout of the Diocesan Museum.
It consists of 10 thematic sections, within which in some cases a chronological criterion emerges, in others reference to the distinct provenance of the works from the ancient episcopal sees of Reggio Calabria and Bova, merged only in 1986.
The thematic spaces you will pass through during your visit to the Museum will be as follows: Fragments of Memory: The Cathedral and the Churches of the Diocese, with some of the most significant stone works from the Cathedral of Reggio and from some diocesan churches; a small Picture Gallery; The Altar and its Furnishings; Adoration and Custody of the Eucharist; Art for the Liturgy, with liturgical objects related to lighting, sprinkling, incensing, and reading and preaching; The Treasure of the Cathedrals, with sacred furnishings from the Cathedrals of Reggio and Bova; The Bishop's Committal of Art, displaying, among others, the insignia that distinguish dignity and authority of the Bishop; Art and Devotion: The Confraternities, with liturgical furnishings and vestments belonging to the ancient confraternities of Reggio; Art and Devotion: the Worship of the Saints, with different types of reliquaries and the trousseau of sacred images; Icons, a collection born of recent donations.
Suppellettile in silver and liturgical textiles are, in some cases, displayed together, in an ideal dialogue between different arts and manufactures, for the narration of a single narrative aimed at illustrating art and devotion of this diocesan community.

The audio guide was realised in the school year 2022-2023 by the students of class III A.SA of the Liceo Scientifico 'Alessandro Volta' of Reggio Calabria, as part of the PCTO 'Open Churches: Art Tells', by virtue of a special agreement between the School and the Archdiocese of Reggio Calabria-Bova - Diocesan Museum.
The Course was coordinated by Dr. Lucia Lojacono, director of the Diocesan Museum (external tutor) and supervised by Dr. Elisa Bonacini, an expert in digital storytelling of cultural heritage (external expert).
For the school, Prof. Maria Giovanna Monaca, Italian teacher (internal tutor) and Prof. Roberta Musarella (English), Prof. Fausta Romeo (Art) and Prof. Claudio Altimari (Support) supervised the students' work.
