Muzeu The Archeological Museum of Acqualagna

The Antiquarium Pitinum Mergens was established in 1998. Inaugurated in 2002 in the Palazzo della Cultura (a 16th-century building that was once the Town Hall), it underwent renovation in 2022.

The museum aims to showcase the history and archaeology of the area. It offers a tour that explores, on the one hand, the ancient municipality of Pitinum Mergens, a still-buried city located along the road to Piobbico in the localities of Pole and Pian di Valeria, and, on the other, the site of Colombara, located at the beginning of the road to Fermignano, characterized by the presence of a Roman rural villa and an Iron Age settlement with a sacred area.
