Pietro Germi.
The city of Sciacca was made a film set twice, both visually and physically involving the
territory of Sciacca with its streets, squares, and buildings.
In the frames of the 1949 “In Nome della Legge” and of 1964 "Sedotta e Abbandonata"
Pietro Germi has used as a set the urban and social context of Sciacca.
“You could really see a magical sense, a great depth. Sciacca is the product of the human
work through the centuries, it is beautiful, but also for this reason, for the overlaps coming
from nature, it is like the surviving of humans through centuries, you can feel the human
everywhere" (Pietro Germi)
The path leads both the tourist and the cinephile to visit the dedicated works and the
places of the films.Translated by Francesco Ferrara
