PLEASE NOTE: THE FORT IS OPEN DAILY, 6AM - 8PM, MAY THROUGH OCTOBER. Volunteer-led guided tours ($10) are available most Saturdays at 1pm and may be booked through this link. For those who can't make it, this audio tour is for you!Welcome to our audio tour of Detroit’s Historic Fort Wayne. Today I’ll be guiding you to 14 points of interest here at the fort. This tour is made possible by the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition, a non-profit formed in 2001 to help restore and maintain Detroit’s historic Civil War era fort. We work side by side with the City of Detroit, Friends of Fort Wayne, Detroit Historical Society, and many other groups to keep the fort safe and available for tours and events every weekend each summer.
Because GPS and cell signals can’t penetrate the thick fort walls at one point, we’d like you to download the whole tour to your device to ensure you hear everything we’re looking forward to telling you about. To do that, select the Download button on your screen. Alternatively, select 'View Tour' then, 'Yes, Cache the Tour'. Once downloaded, hit the Start button and audio will play automatically when you arrive at the fort's parking lot.<< This tour was produced by Audio-D Tours >>
