About the museum
Welcome to the Genti d’Abruzzo Museum, a space dedicated to the history of Abruzzo’s people and lands, from the first humans to appear, about 700.000 years ago, to the Industrial Revolution, illustrated through customs, beliefs, traditions, objects, and both material and immaterial productions. The aim is to show the ethnic and cultural development of the region.
Continuity and cultural persistence are the keys to reading this Museum; a small jewel set in the Pescara Vecchia area within the ancient fortress of the city. The museum is divided into 13 exhibition rooms in addition to the Museum of the Risorgimento and an exhibition room dedicated to the sculptor Giuseppe di Prinzio from Pescara.
