Es la Iglesia más importante construida por los Jesuitas. Se llama “Jesús Nuevo” porque los Jesuitas ya construyeron en 1568 una iglesia conocida hoy como “Jesús Viejo” junto a la Universidad.La nueva iglesia diseñada por Giuseppe Valeriano,se terminó en 1601 y fue dedicada a la Vírgen así como a Jesús.
