About the museum

The Vetka Museum today is a research and educational center of the region in the field of traditional culture. The research work of the museum is devoted to the study of the Old Believer culture and the culture of the Belarusian village.

All the projects of the museum are the result of personal developments of the museum staff. Thanks to the creative achievements of its employees, the Vetka Museum remains «alive» and interesting – it is not for nothing that it is considered one of the pearls of Belarus: since 2004 it has been included in the tourist route «Golden Ring of Gomel Region».

The museum is ready to welcome a much larger number of guests and invites everyone interested in studying and popularizing the rich heritage of traditional culture of Belarus, as well as those who are willing and able to support the rescue and preservation of unique monuments that our land is rich in. The high artistic and spiritual potential of the heritage should be passed on as an asset to the modern generation. This is especially important for young people, for whom awareness of their own cultural roots is a source of strength and confidence in the future. It is always important for foreign guests to get acquainted with the culture of the country where they have arrived. It is through culture that the people who are open to communication are expressed.
