About the museum
The Bezhetsk Museum of Literature Legacy and Local Ethnography is a branch of the State Multi-site Museum of Tver Region. The Bezhetsk Museum is a museum complex. Its expositions are housed in two buildings. The one we are currently in is a former six-class public school of Bezhetsk, where the renowned Russian writer Vyacheslav Shishkov studied from 1882 to 1888. The building is a cultural heritage site of federal importance. Inside, there are memorial expositions dedicated to the famous natives of Bezhetsk, namely Vasiliy Andreev and Vyacheslav Shishkov.
