Accommodated within the lower-ground level floors of the Palazzo Casali, the museum section dedicated to Cortona in Etruscan and Roman times provides unique insight into the city’s historical evolution by presenting all, or virtually all, the finds, ranging from Villanovian to Roman times, recovered in the Cortona territory from the 1800s to the modern era. The section takes the visitor on a virtual tour through the different stages of the city’s development, starting from the earliest stages of its establishment, providing an overview of the historical, political, social, cultural and religious dynamics that influenced it while, at the same, presenting the displayed archaeological finds as unique witnesses to this development, and not just for their visual impact or their intrinsic artistic value.

Very hard to follow. Audio sections not organized along the pathway. One needs to constantly go back and forward. Information otherwise would be useful.
