Bernardino Butinone was a painter from Lombardy. He was born in Treviglio at the end of the '400. He created most of his works in collaboration with Bernardino Zenale, a painter and architect from the same village as Butinone. In 1485 they worked together on the great polyptych, which represents the most famous saint in Treviglio (S.Martino, S.Sebastiano). Today it is preserved in Treviglio inside the Basilica di San Martino. Thanks to their cooperative works they are considered some of the most important artists of the history of Lombardy.
