Despre muzeu
Parkhomivka Art Museum named after P.F.Luniov is one of the most interesting rural museum in Ukraine and one of the most popular tourist spot in Kharkov region. It is situated in “palazzo”-house built in the late XVIII century by count I.M.Podgorichani. The museum is an autonomous department of Kharkiv Art Museum. During its lifetime (over 60 years) about 7 thousand showpieces have been included to its collection – these are unique pieces of art, graphics, sculpture, arts and crafts, archeological and ethnographic materials.
The exhibition is located within 12 museum halls and has the following sections: icon painting, national and foreign art of the XVIII – XX centuries (O.Ivanov, T.Shevchenko, I.Repin, N.Roerich, A.Arkhipov, K.Malevich, W.Kandinsky, G.Piranesi, P.Picasso, F.Bol, etc.); small section of antique and eastern art; ethnographic section and halls containing modern artists’ works.
The museum is the founder of Ukraine-Wide Art Event “Malevich +”.

Welcome to the Parkhomivka Art Museum

Now you are at the room 7.5 metres long and 6 metres wide with your back to the doorway. On your left there are three windows.

In this hall one can find works by the realist artists from the Society for Travelling Art Exhibitions (Peredvizhniki).

The artist drew two trees partially, only their most exuberant parts.

Turn your face to the left wall. There is a huge, 142 cm high and 108 wide, painting by Yukhym Volkov, Landscape with a Hunter.

On the wall on your right there is a painting by Abram Arkhipov Girl in Pink, 90 cm high and 70 cm wide.

The exposition of this hall is dedicated to the art of Far East, Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome.

On its right there is a Portrait of Frédéric Joliot-Curie ([fʁedeʁik ʒɔljo kyʁi]).

There are five paintings on this wall. The biggest one is in the centre and four others around in two rows. The top right painting is the work by famous Dutch artist of XVII century Ferdinand Bol Portrait of a Girl.

There is a work by Kazimir Malevich Suprematism 65.
