Dear guest,

I am Liudmila Starostova, the curator of Dilijan Space. I would like to tell you about our collection, which has been assembled in several ways: through work in archives, interviews, and field research.

Dilijan Space is a cultural and research Center created by well- known philanthropists Ruben Vardanyan and his wife Veronica Zonabend in the framework of the Dilijan development projects.

Their first initiative in Dilijan was the UWC International school, which has been promoting global awareness of Dilijan since 2014.

Since then, Ruben and Veronica have initiated numerous projects in Dilijan, such as the Dilijan Community Center, the development of the master plan for the reconstruction of the embankment area, the construction of a church, renovation of the city park, “Toon Armeni” guest house with historical atmosphere, Café#2, a year-round rock climbing complex with a family café, the “Mountain Terraces” apartment complex, as well as the  research on  Dilijan's history and identity.

Dilijan Space primarily focuses on this research.

One of the results of this research was a collection of  lesser-known or forgotten artifacts mainly from the field of architecture and construction. The audio guide tells about this collection.

It will guide you through the entire exhibition and tell you about the origin of each exhibit.
