Welcome to a unique historical experience.

In these forests north of Eidsvoll lie the remains of Norway's oldest gold mine. Here, hundreds of workers over 250 years have dreamed of finding the gold that would make them rich. Now you can follow in their footsteps and experience history where it actually happened.

Here you will experience an active presentation of five historical stopping points. There we take you on a journey through time from 1758 to today.

Each story is told with sound, pictures and illustrations that bring the past to life. You will hear about the king who received a gold medal, the workers who risked their lives, and the engineers who believed technology could solve everything. The story also reflects today's hunt for bitcoin, oil and other treasures.

The walk takes 1-2 hours and is suitable for all ages. Halfway through, you can take a break under cover in the large shelter that stands by the factory. The trails are well marked, but wear proper footwear.
