Musée Nicosia: historical-artistic itineraries

This section was born with the aim of valorizing Nicosia, a city full of history, art and traditions.

To do this, after an introduction to the city's historical news, from the origins to the present day, two paths were taken into consideration, through medieval Nicosia and the one through Baroque and Seventeenth-Eighteen century in Nicosia.

These two routes, certainly not exhaustive, allow you to rediscover the countless religious buildings scattered around the city and the valuable works of art preserved inside them.

The whole project was realized within the Alternative School / Work group, which during the academic year 2016/2017 involved the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore "F.lli Testa" in Nicosia, the tourist office of Nicosia and the Pro Loco of Nicosia.

Specifically, the subjects involved were: the manager of the host company, the Councilor for Public Education, Cultural Activities, Sports and Leisure, Tourism, Entertainment and Heritage, Bonomo Graziano Ivan; the head of the Pro Loco in Nicosia, President La Motta Charlie; the Pro Loco Olp, Dr. Bonomo Annalisa; Project leaders, volunteers of the Civil Service at the same Pro Loco, Dr. Garigliano Maria Cristina and Dr. Projetto Marzia, Dr. Fascetta Virginia; The schoolmaster, Chiavetta Josè; School tutors, D'Angelo Pizzolo Maria Antonella, Mingrino Filippo, Palmigiano Filippa; The pupils of class IV D of the Lyceum of the Human Economic Economics of Nicosia.
