博物馆 The Voice of Heeswijk Castle

Heeswijk Castle – the most beautiful castle in Brabant – shines like a magnificent jewel embedded within the forested Brabant countryside. It represents nearly a thousand years of power, pride and culture in Brabant's aristocracy. Baron André van den Bogaerde van Terbrugge, the then King's Governor in Brabant, gave it its modern lustre in 1835. 

Heeswijk Castle has had a total of around 40 owners. This audio guide gives many of the owners their own voice and, if we know what they looked like, a face too! They will speak to you from their own time, and tell you about the castle as it was then. 

The most captivating of all the castle's lords was a knight: Sir Robert van Heeswijk. He only exists in a Brabant legend, however – a fantasy tale. In this tour, Sir Robert will be your guide through the castle.
