Audio tour Summary
The main cemetery in Virginia City is called Silver Terrace, managed by local non-profit The Comstock Cemetery Foundation. For years it has been the CCF's goal to do a better job of sharing its story with the thousands of visitors it hosts each year. As it is located in a National Landmark District it would be inappropriate to litter the landscape with multiple signs in order to tell the tales of those that lived and died here over 160 years ago. With the help of a local Eagle Scout project we have been able to create this audio tour.
29 Stops and 25 voices will help us to share the history of the landscape and its people. And, we know our visitors - you can shut it off if you have to leave, skip around from spot to spot and frankly, just customize the tour to fit your level of interest. Enjoy and be safe…

Very interesting and scenic to visit the cemetery! Kudos to the Comstock Cemetery Foundation for the excellent brochure and the Eagle Scout who put together the audio tour.

I love this tour and the audio descriptions. Only one thing. Why doesn't your description of Mary Jane Simpson mention she is a mule. She died in the great fire of Oct. 26, 1875.
