The Museum of Philatelic History at The Royal Philatelic Society London holds a collection of internationally significant objects covering the following main areas:

 

- Philatelic and security printing such as printing dies and the archives of Perkins Bacon, the security printers responsible for the world's first postage stamp the 'Penny Black' in 1840

- Philatelic collecting such as stamp albums and perforation gauges, as well as items connected with forgeries to deceive collectors

 - Exhibitions memorabilia from stamp exhibitions including a vast collection of related medals, videos and programmes

 - Postal Service accessories such as weighing scales, stamp boxes and stamp coil dispensers

 - Items relating to the history of The Royal Philatelic Society London
