Om museet
It is the most important church built by Jesuits in Naples. It is called "Gesù Nuovo" because Jesuits have already built a church in 1568, today known as "Gesù Vecchio" next to the University. The new church, designed by the Jesuit architect Giuseppe Valeriano, was finished in 1601 and it is dedicated to Immacolata Concezione and to the Name of Jesus.
