The Museum Geelvinck is an Amsterdam city palace with an exuberant interior, in which style elements from the 18th and first half of the 19th Century refer to the inhabitants’ history. The entrance is in the former coach house. Through the large classical garden you enter the four-period rooms of the main house on the Herengracht canal. In the period rooms you can experience how rich Amsterdammers lived during this era.
You can also see historical keyboard instruments, which are part of Sweelinck Collection in the Museum Geelvinck. This collection also includes Dutch fortepianos from the 18th Century.
