The beige building with the spire which you can see, and is over 200 hundred metres tall is one of seven high-rise buildings in Moscow, known as the 'Stalin Skyscrapers' or 'Seven Sisters'. This one is the building of the former 'Ukraina' hotel.
The building represented the pride of Soviet architecture, and was reconstructed in the 21st century and acquired a new owner. Today it is the 'Radisson Royal' hotel. Curiously enough, the new owner has been extremely careful to preserve the heritage of this famous hotel.
The legendary diorama depicting Moscow as the capital of the USSR has been restored in the 'Ukraina' hotel. If you wish, you can see and admire the diorama and picture collection after returning from today's cruise.
