Isis and Nephthys

Isis is the sister/wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. She was the most important goddess in the Egyptian pantheon. One of her titles was 'Mother of the king' and her symbol is the throne on her head.

Nephtys usually played a subordinate role to her sister Isis; her title is 'Mistress of the palace', she was one of the guardian deities of the dead and was responsible for guarding the head of the deceased.
