Parque de les Rieres de Horta

This stop brings you from the past of beautiful architecture, to one the most contemporary and innovative attraction in Horta. This park was inaugurated in 2013 and it represents the concept of sustainability.

The park is self-sufficient in terms of energy, as it counts with solar panels covering an area of 624m2 providing complete lighting to the park. Vegetation has been chosen carefully according to weather conditions and the ecosystem protection, and rain water treatment is used to irrigate the plants. While walking around the park, you can find tags with all vegetation names and information.         

For residents, the park is considered a place for recreation and for socializing. In fact, if one day you happen to be walking here by night, you will see quite a few people playing the popular game La Petanca, and also you will have the chance to see the lights from the solar panels on.
