    Welcome to Georgetown!

You have never seen such a romantic, cosy and calm part of Washington D.C. before. Brick houses, antique shops, restaurants and cafés – Georgetown does not even seem like an American city! The Potomac River and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal will make you feel like you are in Venice, while the cosy houses surrounding the streets will remind you of Germany, Austria, or even Great Britain!

Come with us and explore this historical district of the capitol of the United States! Take a walk down M Street – the Broadway of Georgetown; take pictures in front of Georgetown University – the oldest Catholic and Jesuit university in the United States; visit places where John F. Kennedy lived, see the house where George Washington purchased the land for Washington D.C. and much more! And when you are tired, there are plenty of cosy cafés to choose from around every corner!

I don't think Obama's visit there did anything at all to make Georgetown University any more well known than it already was (sounds like propaganda)- The NCAA men's basketball team is far more known than any president visiting there, yet there was no mention of this.

Great tour! Leave time to spend seeing the museums that make up some of the stops!

Great walking tour through beautiful Georgetown! I liked voice directions of the tour so I barely had to use my phone for navigation!
