The Siberian tiger is the world’s largest cat. Tigers live in Asia, but their numbers are dwindling drastically.
The Siberian subspecies lives in the Russian Far East. It is larger and better adapted to the harsh conditions of the coastal winter.
Tigers have tremendous physical strength, which means that they are able to hunt large animals such as deer and wild boars. Adult males do not have a permanent den, but females do provide refuge for males in a safe place.
When not mating, the tigers lead a solitary lifestyle.
