佛陀為眾生廣說八萬四千法門，從各種聽經聞法、佛經薰習而領略教理是為「解門」，依循教理實踐修行是為「行門」，八宗祖師其實是行解兼修的，如星雲大師所說：「將書本所學的知識與生活的體驗連接起來，知行合一，解行並重。」即是人生修行道路的不二法門。凝視八宗祖師雖經歷了許多滄桑和困蹇，但卻澆不熄弘揚佛法的信念，他們的精神與典範將永遠常懷世人心中，佛光普照。
