Yurii Slavik is from Uzhhorod. He studied at the historical and geographical faculties of Uzhhorod National University. His education allows him to work as a historian as well as a tourism expert. Since his student years, he has been conducting excursions in Transcarpathia, cooperating with the leading tourist companies of Ukraine. For the last 10 years, he has been fascinated by the movement of historical reconstruction of the Middle Ages and actively popularized it in Transcarpathia. He is the founder and co-organizer of the international festival of medieval culture "Silver Tatosh".
