Besides remarkable natural beauties, the path is also dotted with well-marked historical and archaeological sights, including sections of the old roman aqueduct, the Fortezza del Girifalco, the Santuario di Santa Margherita and the church of San Carlo at Torreone.

Trail is not well marked other than the odd GR560 and GR563. The paper maps are too large a scale to be useful unless you have a magnifying glass and excellent navigation skills.
