  2. Audio tour Summary

The path meanders its way across a part of the valley where several “Leopoldina” farmhouses, local traditional farmhouses with distinctive dovecote tower, can still be seen; these were mostly built in the 1700-1800s following the extensive land-reclamation works carried out in the Valdichiana by count Vittorio Fossombroni under Grand-Duke Peter Leopold of Lorraine. The path runs from the village of Ronzano, where it merges with the “Sentiero dei Principi” path (the part of it running on the banks of the Mucchia); from there, the path runs to the village of Creti where it merges into the “Sentiero della Mezzadria”.
