We are at the "Presidential Exposition". History clearly shows how great the role of the national leader in the turning points in the fate of the state. The beginning of a new stage in the history of Kazakhstan is connected with the name of N.A. Nazarbayev. The President of the country is not only a bearer of administrative power, but also a symbol of statehood.

On April 23-24, 1990 the XXI Plenum of the Central Committee of the CPC was held in Alma-Ata, where it was decided to nominate the first secretary of the CPC Central Committee, N.A. Nazarbayev to the post of President of the Kazakh SSR.

On December 1, 1991, 98.8% of voters voted for Nursultan Nazarbayev at the first nationwide presidential elections. Since 2012, December 1 is the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

I invite you to get acquainted with the exposition and learn some facts about the biography of the Head of State. The ancestors of Nursultan Abishevich lived in the village of Chemolgan (now - Ushkonyr village) in the Kaskelen district of the Alma-Ata region. The picture of Nurzhan Karymsakov depicts the neighborhood of the village of Ushkonyr.

N.A. Nazarbayev was born on July 6, 1940 at the Zhailiau Ushkonyr. Nazarbayev's family was friendly, united and hardworking. In the windows are presented photos dear to the heart of our President, on which can see the family of Nazarbayevs. Flipping the pages of electronic albums, one can feel the breathing of time, see images of relatives, friends of Nursultan Abishevich, episodes of his work and political biography. On the right there are showcases with samples of kazakh decorative and applied art and jewelry. They are an excellent illustration of the lasting traditions of respect and reverence for the native land, the continuity of different generations.

In the central part of the exposition there is an interactive chronicle of the activities of the President. You can choose any period you are interested in and view text, photo and video documents.

On the right are: the inauguration costume of the President of Kazakhstan (1999), with a breastplate; a breastplate of a special sample "Elbasy", handed to the President in honor of the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Strategic thinking and foresight are the necessary qualities for the head of state.

This series completes with presidential attributes: a scepter made of an alloy of precious metals, jade, diamonds, green marble, and a silver dish with an engraved image of the first standard of the President.
