Museo The Corporate Museum of JSC «RN-Nyaganneftegaz»

The history of Nyagan is inextricably intertwined with oil production. The city today has become, first and foremost, the embodiment of oil workers' labor, the history of explorations and discoveries, production victories, succession and traditions.

The oil and gas industry has truly become a family business for the majority of the city residents, as dozens of oil workers' dynasties work here today. In order to preserve and pass on this history, the Corporate Museum of the oil and gas production enterprise of JSC «RN-Nyaganneftegaz» was opened on September 2, 2009.  

The museum consists of five exhibition halls, each of which displays a certain stage of formation and development of the Nyagan oil and gas production company.

Crossing the threshold of the museum, the visitor immediately walks into an oilfield with a drilling rig and a working beam-pumping unit. The halls feature maps of the company's licensed areas, fragments and separate parts of equipment used for crude hydrocarbon extraction, samples of various types of oil, and drill cores obtained from great depths.

A special place is dedicated to a reconstructed portable cabin of an oil team from the first years of oilfield development, photographs, documents, authentic items from the middle of the last century, which were used by the first geologists, drillers and oil and gas production teams.

One of the halls is designed for exhibitions of photographs, paintings, arts and craft items and various private collections.

The corporate museum of JSC «RN-Nyaganneftegaz» is a many-time winner and runner-up of the annual regional contest «Museum Olympus of Yugra» in the nominations of «Corporate Museum» and «Museum Volunteer».
