Arbat is the street that never sleeps. The younger crowd hangs out here; tourists are haggling for souvenirs; and for young couples it’s Lover’s Lane. Hawkers drum-up passing trade, while pavement artists and caricaturists offer to capture the moment in charcoal or pastels. Arbat’s cosy eateries all offer outdoor dining on summer patios, and street entertainers gather passing crowds.

Excursion route: from Metro “Arbat” into Arbat Street itself – Starokoniushenny pereulok – Sivtsev Vrazhek pereulok – Kaloshny pereulok – back on Arbat – Troilinsky pereulok – Metro “Smolenskaya”.
