Let's start from the highest and most significant point in its history: the fortress where the temple of the Goddess Ceres once stood and from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the center of Sicily.Let's visit the Multimedia Museum of the Myth, where we will be able to meet the Goddess.
Then we will go to the ancient castle, known as Lombardy, the Torre di Federico and the last medieval gate of the city, Porta Janniscuru. Then we will see the magnificent Duomo where the patron saint of the city, Maria SS. of the Visitation, has her residence.
We will get to know the Varisano Museum, with its archaeological finds, and the magnificent church of S Marco le Vergini with its Baroque stuccoes. The beautiful church of Santa Chiara with the majolica floor, the beautiful theater of the city and the room dedicated to its illustrious musician F.sco Paolo Neglia and finally the Sanctuary of Papardura and its Via Crucis.
We will find out how Easter lives here. In fact, Holy Week is now famous all over the world for its rituals and atmosphere full of pathos.
