Welcome to Ohrid, a living mosaic of stone, water, and centuries. This audio walk begins in the city center, where daily life hums along cobbled streets that have carried traders, scholars, and pilgrims for more than two millennia. As you move at an easy pace, let the city unfold layer by layer different era's leaving its mark.

From the heart of town, we’ll step into history at the Robevci House Museum, a graceful example of Ottoman-era architecture and a window into the lives of Ohrid’s merchant families. Nearby rises the serene Saint Sophia Church, whose walls still echo with the chants and councils that shaped the spiritual life of the region.

Continuing upward, you’ll encounter the dramatic Antique Theatre of Ohrid, where performances once played out against a backdrop of hills and sky. The path leads on to the Church of Saint Clement and Panteleimon (St. Perivleptos), a jewel of medieval art and devotion, before climbing to the commanding heights of Samuel's Fortress, offering sweeping views over rooftops and lake.

At Plaošnik, ancient foundations meet early Christian tradition, reminding us why Ohrid is often called a cradle of Slavic literacy and culture. The journey gently descends toward its poetic finale at the Church of St. John at Kaneo, perched above the shimmering waters of Ohrid Lake.

Take your time. Listen closely. This is a walk not just through streets, but through time—ending where land, lake, and legend meet.
