Audio tour The attic - Staff quarters and work spaces

The layout of the roof structure of Dalecote is quite odd - with several pitched rooves running the length of the house, and gullies in between the different roofs. This is probably to maximise the tall self supporting roofs of the attic spaces - un-impeded by cross beams.

The attic spaces, reached by the rear service stairs are not open to the public - but are currently used as archive and storage areas for the masonic loges and administrative offices for the building.
