In the center of the study of D.I. Mendeleev there is a desk. The frame attached to the edge of the table was made according to the drawings of the scientist. The frame contains photos of the relatives of D.I. Mendeleev.
On the table there is a cup. In the morning, Dmitry Ivanovich had this large cup of the strongest sweet tea brought into his study. The cup always stood on the left hand of the scientist and always had to be full, since during work Mendeleev drank even cold tea.
To the left of the desk there is a small table. Chess set on the table belonged to Mendeleev as he loved playing chess in the afternoon. The family members remembered that Dmitry Ivanovich played chess very well.
Right behind the desk there are bookshelves. Encyclopedic reference publications are located on these shelves. The central place is occupied by the Brockhaus encyclopedia and the Efron-universal encyclopedia in Russian, published in the Russian Empire. D.I Mendeleev was not only the author of articles, but also edited many of them, managing the chemical-technical and factory departments of the encyclopedia.
On the wall behind the desk there are photos of portraits of scientists: Galileo Galilei, Sir Isaac Newton, Nikolai Kopernik and other scientists.
