    ABOUT THE TOUR

This self-guided tour takes you to each of the 14 medieval churches on Romney Marsh and provides brief highlights for each. You can click through for a more detailed tour of each church, to hear about the history, architecture, features and folklore of each of these unique buildings. This tour is brought to you by the Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust, in collaboration with the Fifth Continent Landscape Partnership Scheme.

Romney Marsh is an ancient and at-risk landscape with a rich history and unique wildlife. Fourteen characterful medieval churches punctuate the flat landscape, as well as a number of ruined churches.
