“Assabinidica!” (May God bless you! An old Sicilian greeting) And welcome to Via Perollo!
You find yourself in a special place, requalified thanks to an intense cooperation between
citizens who decided to take care of their common spaces.
Everyone has contributed the way they could, providing to the project of urban
requalification their skills, time, and money.
All the pillars have been rebuilt, 27 vases and 57 tiles placed with the prestigious ceramic
of Sciacca, the railings repainted, 27 aromatic herbs planted, and free audio guides
created to tell the story of this place. 16 of the rhombuses you see on the pillars show the
most famous scenes of the case of Sciacca, a feud that began in late middle age that saw
as protagonists the families Luna and Perollo. The other ceramic elements show the
decorations of Sciacca’s ceramic from 1450 to 1550.
This tour will make you discover both the case of Sciacca and the beauty of the traditional
decorations, and through the words and the photos of who created the different ceramic
works, you will have the chance to look at the different steps of the making.
The community thus decided to make the light, colour, beauty, narration, and memory of a
place in the middle of the historic centre that has been forgotten for many, too many years
    rebirth.
The requalification of this place has been possible thanks to the Community Cooperative
“Identità e Bellezza” leading the widespread museum of 5 Senses of Sciacca.
Has cost 10.000 euros and has been financed thanks to the call “Rigenera”, Initiated by
Attiva Sicilia and won by the Cooperative thanks to votes collected from the entire
    community of Sciacca.

    Have a good listening!
