South-West Friesland has a distinct and diverse National Landscape, consisting of the sandy Gaasterland area, the clay region, the IJsselmeer coast and the low peat lands. At the Mar en Klif Visitor Centre you’ll discover the fascinating history of how this landscape was formed. You’ll also find the historical locations that can still be seen today while you get to know the beautiful natural environment of South-West Friesland.
