Alligator gars
Alligator gars are the largest species of gar, reaches 4,5 meters in length, the grasp of its trunk makes about 1 meter. This is the only fish in the land, which has such a long jaw, its length can reach 30-45 centimeters. The fish has an elongated body that is covered with scales solid-like shell. Scales consists of two layers: the bone basis is inside, ganoin layer is outside. Ganoin is a kind of enamel, which adds it smoothness and gloss. The muzzle of a billfish pointed with long jaws, very similar to the jaws of an alligator, also armed with the sharpest teeth.
Alligator gars appeared on the Earth long before their fresh-water prototypes. Alligator gars have a unique swimming bubble. It is all penetrated by blood vessels and connected to a gullet so that this body can carry out function of a lung. Thanks to such system of breath, they can quietly exist in warm water, where the content of oxygen is minimum. Such feature allows it to survive in conditions where it will be difficult for other fishes to exist.
