Temple Street Night Market
Once the sun sets, Temple Street Night Market becomes Hong Kong’s shopping heart. This bazaar only opens between 4pm and midnight. It is perfect for both shopping and dining. The food is delicious and also cheaper than in the day markets. At night, Temple Street Market basically turns into one big open space of restaurants and shops, with tables jostling among the stalls.
In contrast to the Ladies Market, this is often referred to as the Men’s Market; you can find many men’s accessories here, such as belts, wallets, glasses, cufflinks, etc. There is also a scattering of electronic devices, from computers to mp3 players.
Moreover, you can visit the Cantonese opera singers as well as fortune tellers right in this very street.
So, basically, at night, Temple Street turns into one big entertainment zone that is equally popular with tourists and locals.
Here, we would like to end this tour and leave you to enjoy Hong Kong’s night-life at its best. Temple Street Market is indeed the place for such entertainment and fun, so please immerse yourself in the endless shops and restaurants.
This is near where our tour began. To return to the Sheraton Hotel, simply take the metro one stop back to the waterline.
