وُلد متحف تاريخ آل مديتشي في فلورنسا عام 2019، بمناسبة الذكرى الخمسمائة لميلاد كوزيمو الأول وكاترين دي مديتشي، بهدف حفظ ونشر تاريخ النساء والرجال الذين جعلوا فلورنسا وتوسكانا خالدتين. واليوم تُعرض مجموعات متحف آل مديتشي داخل روتوندا برونليسكي، أحد أهم معالم المدينة والذي يمتد تاريخه لأكثر من خمسمائة عام.
