Ethnographic Museum
The Ethnographic Museum is situated at the tip of Student's Square and is home to many folk artifacts of the Serbian people and the Balkans.
The building perhaps isn't as pretty as many of the other museums in Belgrade but the contents more than make up for the outside. With nearly 200,000 items in the museum you are spoiled for choice. The museum is ideal for anyone interested in the human side of history with many aspects of past culture being preserved here. This covers a wide area with collections ranging from folk clothing to children's toys covered.
Over the years the museum has expanded its scope also with subjects such as musical folklore and illustration now represented here.
The museum actively encourages participation and holds an annual festival for Ethnographic film which is growing in reputation internationally as well as in Serbia.
After exploring the museum head outside where you will be on Student's Square.
