Swedish painter, portraitist, landscapist and writer Richard Bergh was born the son of landscape painter Edward Bergh and, naturally, followed in his father’s footsteps.
One of his most famous paintings is the “Nordic Summer Evening”. Prince Eugene and singer Karin Pyk stand on the balcony of a house in Kyrkviken on the lake Liding. Behind them a marvellous panorama of the now resort Hustegaholm opens up.
One of the streets in Stockholm is names after Richard Bergh.
