Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha
This room displays the figure of the founder of Buddhism - Buddha Shakyamuni; and the next room has just one exhibit - "Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha". This room describes the features of Mahayana teachings, according to which there are "five Buddha families", located at five different directions. Each of them has Pure Land with different Buddhas as a ruler. To the west stretches Sukhavati (in Sanskrit - land of bliss). It is the intangible Pure Land of a Buddha of infinite light - Amitabha. It appears in the form of a beautiful garden. Followers of Mahayana believe that it's a spiritual realm and, at the same time, the state of supreme spiritual happiness of people close to nirvana.
The tour continues in the next room.
