FAQ regarding issues with the items' visibility in the mobile audio guides

Here we have gathered the FAQ regarding problems with the display of various items – museums, tours, museum exhibits, points of interest, etc. in the mobile audio guides.

I cannot find my museum (tour) in the izi.TRAVEL mobile app.

In the mobile app, you can see the museum but not the created collection – only the individual exhibit items.

Several museum exhibit items are not visible in the mobile app.

I added a new language to the museum description and all the exhibits but the mobile app does not offer the option to switch to that language.

Clicking the “Show on izi.TRAVEL” button opens an Error 404 page.

I created a museum (tour) but cannot find it in the izi.TRAVEL mobile app.

There are 2 possible reasons why the created museum (tour) is not displayed in the izi.TRAVEL mobile app.

  1. The museum is set to a private mode (invisible to all). Check the visibility settings:

  1. The museum (tour) is password-protected but the password is not specified in the mobile app’s settings.

In that case, you need to specify the password in the audio guide’s settings. You can see the password by opening the visibility controls for the museum (tour) in the izi.TRAVEL CMS:

The images below show how to specify the password in the audio guide’s settings.

  1. The original language of the museum (tour) is not specified in the mobile audio guide’s settings. Open the mobile audio guide’s settings and make sure the museum language is specified.

In the mobile app, you can see the museum but not the created collection – only individual exhibit items.

Possible reasons:

  1. The visibility setting for the collection is more restrictive than the one for the museum. Check this setting in the izi.TRAVEL CMS. To do this, on the collection page, open the visibility control panel:

  1. The collection’s profile may have a more restrictive visibility setting. Open the collection’s properties , and from the “Profiles” tab, open the visibility control panel:

Several of the museum exhibit items are not visible in the mobile app.

Possible reasons:

  1. The visibility setting for the exhibit item is more restrictive than the one for the museum. Check this setting in the izi.TRAVEL CMS. To do this, on the exhibit item’s page open the visibility control panel:

  1. The exhibit item’s language has a more restrictive setting. Open the exhibit item’s properties , and from the “Stories” tab, open the visibility control panel.

I added a new language to the museum description and all the exhibit items but the mobile app does not offer the option to switch to that language.

Possible reasons:

  1. The museum’s profile in the new language has a more restrictive visibility setting than the museum. Check the setting and change it if needed. In the izi.TRAVEl CMS, open the museum’s settings, go to the “Profiles” tab, and open the visibility control panel for the new language:

  1. The audio guide’s settings of the izi.TRAVEl mobile audio guide do not feature the needed language. Check the settings:

If the needed language is really not featured, add it by clicking the “Add language” button; then return to the museum and try clicking the language selection button. This should open the list of available languages, including the new one.

Clicking the “Show on izi.TRAVEL” button opens an Error 404 page.

There is possible reason for this:

The museum (tour)’s visibility setting is set to “Invisible to all”. Check the visibility settings for the given museum (tour) 1 as well as for its language versions 2:
